Neo-Latin Lexicon

WELCOME TO THE MORGAN-OWENS NEO-LATIN LEXICON

The Neo-Latin Lexicon contains the vocabulary of Latin used by Neo-Latin authors and practitioners of active Latin. It aims both to document unique vocabulary found in literature from the Renaissance to contemporary Latin and unite the entries of other existing glossaries of Neo-Latin and Modern in one place. The Lexicon is arranged alphabetically and thematically.

The mission of the Lexicon is two-fold: to improve our understanding of Neo-Latin literature, and to provide a powerful lexical aid for students and scholars who wish to use the Latin language actively today.

Although the current search feature and index only include the small number of headwords found in version 3.0, which is in the initial stages of development, the entire body of the Lexicon is accessible through the links adumbratio and silva.
